Bessie Sumpter

Bessie has been Produce Manager for twelve years, and her enthusiasm for her job shows.

I'm particular about the quality and size of our fruit," she says. "For example, our apples and oranges are more than large, they also taste good. If they don't, I've been known to send them back," she grins.

Bessie enjoys playing with the new family addition when she’s not assisting Brown County IGA customers. “I got a Jack Russell puppy for Valentine’s Day,” she laughs. “I like playing with my puppy."
